The 2005 edition of the U.S. Statistical Abstract is now available online (along with selected previous versions) at:

In addition to national data, the statistical abstract includes a large amount of data at the statewide level.

(Note that the 2003 edition is the latest one available through this website.  However, most table formats are carried forward from one edition to the next.)
