The U.S. Census Bureau will hold a news conference on Thursday, August
26th, at 10 a.m. EDT to release new data for 2003 on income, poverty,
and health insurance coverage from the Current Population Survey (CPS).
A wide-range of social and economic data from the American Community
Survey (ACS) will also be released.
This news conference can be viewed over the Internet using Windows
Media Player or RealPlayer.
The CPS report is expected to contain some state data as well as
detailed national data. The ACS release will include a wide range of
social and economic information for states and for cities and counties
with 250,000 or more people. However, since the ACS has not yet been
expanded to its full sample size, the data below the state level will be
subject to very high levels of statistical uncertainty.
