[Population-census] Population Estimates by Age, Race, Sex, and Hispanic Origin

The Census Bureau's state-level population estimates by age, race, sex,
and Hispanic origin are ready for release.  The latest word from the
Census Bureau is that they will be made available during the week of
August 18th.  A release date for the county-level estimates has not yet
been announced.

The new estimates will include the following detail:

AGE: single years of age to age 85+

SEX: male/female

HISPANIC: Hispanic/non Hispanic

RACE: 5 races "alone" and a separate multiracial category (the six
categories add up to total population)

RACE: 5 races "alone or in combination" (the 5 categories add up to
more than total population due to multiple counting of multirace
respondents)

DATES: April 2000, July 2000, July 2001, July 2002
