The Archives of Michigan presents - "The Picture Man:  Lansing Through the Lens of R.C. Leavenworth"

This exhibit will appear at the Michigan Historical Museum from May 30-September 30, 2008.   Admission is free.

Opening reception:  Thurs., May 29th, 5 pm - 7 pm.  R.S.V.P. at (517) 373-1408

The exhibit displays the work of photographer R.C. Leavenworth.  Leavenworth began his career in northern Michigan, where he photographed lumbering and mining camps.  He moved to Lansing in 1919.  He Lansing photos span much of the 20th Century, documenting the city's transformation into an automobile manufacturing center!
