From jthomas at albion.edu Tue Aug 5 13:06:29 2008 From: jthomas at albion.edu (Jennie Thomas) Date: Tue, 05 Aug 2008 13:06:29 -0400 Subject: [Maa-l] Society of American Archivists Women Archivists' Roundtable needs volunteers! Message-ID: <48985054.79B9.0091.1@albion.edu> The Women Archivists Roundtable is pleased to again sponsor the Navigator Program for the Society of American Archivists meeting in San Francisco. The Navigator Program matches experienced SAA members with new members or first-time conference attendees. We have lots of first-time attendees who are eager for help negotiating the meeting and comparatively few seasoned archivists willing to help them. If you are going to the annual meeting this month, please consider volunteering to be a navigator! For those of you unfamiliar with the program, it is basically an informal short-term mentorship program. By signing up to be a navigator, you are agreeing to contact the person assigned to you, make plans to meet up with them at the meeting, and be available to answer their questions about the meeting. If you are interested in being a navigator (or would like more information), please contact Karen Walton Morse kewalton at buffalo.edu. Thanks in advance for your willingness to help!
