Thought I'd let everyone know that I have fully resumed my archival
duties with the State of Michigan. This, of course, also means
continuing as your listserv administrator.

I want to again thank everyone who sent me their wishes. In fact, the
gall bladder surgery went as well as could be. At this point, all my
weight lifting and diet restrictions have officially ended. Having been
through this dark period, I'd like to warn as many people as possible
that skim milk cheese is truly a tool of the devil! I advise avoiding
it at all costs. : )

Of course, part of my holiday season was spent in my home state of
Wisconsin. I was there when Gerald Ford died. Naturally, this means
that absolutely every Wisconsinite encountered - friend or stranger -
paused to utter the immortal words, "DID 'JA KNOW HE WAS DRAFTED BY THE
GREEN BAY PACKERS????????!!!!!" Fortunately, I soon escaped back to
Michigan, where there was absolutely no overblown hype about Gerald Ford
whatsoever. : )

...but seriously, folks -

It's good to be back. In all honesty, I'm glad to have a job that I
really enjoy.

Happy New Year, everyone!
